Founded in 1998, Internal Medicine of Southwest Florida is a private, primary care practice located in Fort Myers, Florida. IMSWF is currently accepting new patients. We are proud to be a physician owned, private medical practice in Lee County. Having physician ownership places our accountability directly to our patients. We pride ourselves in high patient and employee satisfaction. Please consider our practice for your general adult (age 16+) medical care.
We provide same-day appointments for all established patients when they are acutely sick. Consider us your "Medical Home" for affordable one-stop shopping. We evaluate and manage everything from rashes to acute muscle-skeletal injuries. If you have unexplained pain or are physically unwell, we provide an affordable way of getting excellent care.
All of our physicians are certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Raymond Kordonowy is also certified by the American Board of Clinical Lipidology, a designation which places him as an expert in the evaluation and management of cardiovascular disease and cholesterol disorders.
We enjoy the benefits of a group practice, yet each physician has their own private office with their own staff. By being a group IMSWF is able to provide a comprehensive laboratory and numerous diagnostic services, while each office maintains the "feel" of a single physician practice.
We provide a holistic approach to patient care. Wellness and health prevention are a cornerstone of our mission statement.
Our mission statement summarizes the practice, “To provide quality health care to the patients of Fort Myers and the surrounding area. We believe in empowering patients with the knowledge and support to encourage a healthy lifestyle. We will provide services for the diagnosis and treatment of acute illnesses in a timely manner. We can manage most common chronic illnesses and pride ourselves in looking at the whole patient and their health needs.”
Internal Medicine of Southwest Florida offers a personal level of affordable comprehensive health care with an emphasis on prevention services including the early detection and treatment of arteriosclerosis, heart disease, stroke, cancer, and osteoporosis.
We are aware of the rising number of uninsured. In response we are offering a $66.85 / month comprehensive health care package.
The office is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. We see patients by appointment only unless there is an emergency.
Please call our main telephone number to schedule an appointment. Once you have called the main office our automated phone system will allow you to enter the extension for the physician you wish to see. If you are an established patient and have an after hours problem requiring contacting the on-call physician please dial 1-877-844-0809 and the system will allow you the option of leaving a voice message. The physician on-call can then contact you if necessary.
